Colombo Stock Exchange ASPI rose 4.21% to 21,917.60 as a US two-week ceasefire announcement drew investors back, with turnover at Rs.6.61 billion and banks driving activity. Top contributors included John Keells, Commercial Bank, Hatton National Bank, Dialog Axiata and Colombo Dockyard.

Colombo Stock Exchange rose as the ASPI gained 0.55% (116.65 pts) to 21,182.83, with bank stocks leading turnover of Rs.370 million. WindForce filed to issue up to 40 million green bonds to raise Rs.4 billion; top movers included Sampath, ACL Cables and Dialog while HNB and John Keells weighed on the index.

Dialog Axiata PLC is offering the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series in Sri Lanka via its retail and digital channels, pairing the flagship devices with Dialog's 5G Ultra network. Sales began 15 March after an exclusive first-customer experience on 12 March, with TRC-approved devices and special offers for Dialog customers.

Diversified financials, capital goods and banking led activity with CDB, DIAL, PLR, JKH and DOCK as key positive contributors while foreigners were net sellers (Rs.72m; YTD outflow Rs.15.9bn).

ASPI rose 0.80% (190.27 pts) to 23,900.11 and the S&P SL20 gained 1.38% to 6,710.33, led by strength in large-cap banking stocks. Market turnover was over Rs.5.6bn, foreign investors were net sellers of Rs.167.6m, with HNB, SAMP, COMB, DOCK and NDB among top positive contributors.
