Dialog Axiata PLC has renewed its partnership with Australia’s Market Development Facility to expand Govi Mithuru, its AI-driven agriculture advisory service. Govi Mithuru has engaged over 1.1 million farmers and is piloting image-based pest detection and other digital advisory tools.

Colombo market closed up for a fifth straight session as the ASPI inched to a record 20,715.49 (up 0.69 points) on turnover of Rs. 10.5 billion. Dialog Axiata PLC reported 1H 2025 revenue up 6% to Rs.87.4bn, group EBITDA up 50% to Rs.40.5bn and NPAT more than doubled to Rs.9.2bn. Company revenue was Rs.66bn (up 28% YTD), OFCF improved to Rs.22.1bn and capex was Rs.13.3bn; Dialog is awaiting 5G spectrum for commercial services.
ASPI rose 96.45 points (0.49%) to close at 19,923 as the CSE opened with mixed sentiment; foreigners were net sellers with a net outflow of Rs.117.2m. Banking led turnover (25%) while Capital Goods and Diversified Financials together contributed 28% of turnover.
Colombo's ASPI rose 0.49% to 19,923.02, led by buying in bank counters—mainly Commercial Bank and HNB—while the S&P SL20 edged down to 5,824.91. Notable movers included C T Holdings, Ceylinco, Carson and Dialog higher, with John Keells and Overseas Realty weaker; turnover fell to Rs 3.1bn.
