Ambeon Holdings PLC exited its 22.4% stake in Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC, divesting 36.422 million shares at Rs.20.50–23.70 each. Dankotuwa closed at Rs.20.70 on Friday, with net asset value per share at Rs.20.03 and Ceyline Investments holding 65%.
The public holding in Kandy Hotels Company (KHC.N0000) rose to 23% in August from 15.98% in June after non-public shareholders sold shares. Ambeon Holdings (GREG.N0000) bought a 6.09% stake for Rs 550.8m; KHC is a subsidiary of Ceylon Hotels Corporation (CHOT.N0000) and its stock closed at Rs 17.90 (up Rs 0.30).
Colombo market closed marginally up as the ASPI rose 0.2% (47 points) on turnover of Rs.7.46 bn while the S&P SL20 fell 0.2%. Dialog, Ambeon, Bukit Darah, Carson Cumberbatch and LOLC led gains, with EB Creasy, Sierra Cables, LVL Energy Fund and Raigam Wayamba also active and recording price gains.

Ambeon Holdings bought a 6.09% stake (45,904,622 shares) in The Kandy Hotels Company (1938) PLC for 550.8 million rupees at Rs12/share. Kandy Hotels, a subsidiary of Ceylon Hotels Corporation, was trading at Rs17.50.
