Sri Lanka Customs told Parliament it reached 130% of its first-half revenue target, reporting Rs.1.6 trillion in revenue as of 30 June 2026 and actual collections of Rs.1.38 trillion; vehicle-import taxes contributed Rs.512.5 billion (37%) from 316,000 vehicle imports. The Cabinet approved regulations designating 68 businesses operating in Colombo Port City as secondary businesses of strategic importance.
