Co-operative Insurance Company PLC redeemed 1.1 million cumulative redeemable preference shares on 31 August for a total of Rs. 16.61 million (Rs.10 per share), including a 9% p.a. cumulative return; the redeemed shares will be cancelled and stated capital adjusted. The company said the IRCSL confirmed no further regulatory approval was required for the redemption and settlement.
